Who here has a large hatred for the advertisements that invite themselves into the YouTube videos you were about to watch forcing you to watch them while you desperately count down until the skip button activates? Me too.
This "you may skip this in ...seconds" drives me crazy. Every video I want to watch, I have to patiently wait while precious seconds of my life flush away watching a useless advertisement. Some ads don't even have a skip button! Those are the kind of ads that literally have me ripping my hair out and make me feel like what I feel like when I'm at the mall in a store shopping in peace until extremely eager sales representatives come and chirp non-stop about their exclusive sales and promo offers.
But then one day...actually, yesterday, I clicked a YouTube video and its advertisement didn't make me feel like ripping my hair out. As a matter of fact, this was the first advertisement in my entire life I hadn't skipped! It was a music video and I instantly fell in love with it! The singer, Aaron Hoffman, is incredibly talented and adds a creative point of view to his music and especially to his music videos. His attitude and his sense of humour is impressive. But best of all, this man's a Canadian! Possibly my first favourite Canadian singer who I truly believe can make a huge break in the music industry. He's a Vancouver-based hip-hop singer/rapper who goes by his stage name SonReal. I...don't...necessarily..understand why he calls himself that, but nonetheless, he's become my newest favourite artist and I am positive he'll get huge record deals in a couple of years from now. Listen to his song, Preach, and tell me what you think of him!
